In this required session, you'll learn more about the MSW Program handbook (policies and procedures), and field (internship) experience as part of your enrollment in the MSW program. Dr. Kao Nou Moua, program director and Will Ramirez, program coordinator will review all protocols and orient you to the program.

FULL TIME STUDENTS ONLY: Dr. Genevieve Sabala, field placement director will guide you through the field placement selection from connecting with sites at an upcoming field fair to applying to internships, and getting started. There will also be time to address questions!

METRO PLACEMENTS

Most students are placed in metro placements. METRO is defined as a field placement in Hennepin, Anoka, Dakota, Ramsey or Washington counties

NON-METRO PLACEMENTS

NON-METRO agencies are those located outside the metro area in Wisconsin, Carver, Chisago, Scott county, or any other county OUTSIDE of Hennepin, Anoka, Dakota, Ramsey or Washington counties.

NOTE: There are different processes for finding a non-metro placement vs a metro placement. You can attend more than one orientation if you are not sure whether you will be looking for a non-metro or metro placement. Please email Lydia at madden@augsburg.edu if you wish to attend more than one session.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
